- About Me:
- Tall, Texan, prone to all the bombastic exaggeration that might imply. Nonetheless, I try very hard for veracity in text, when a lack of facial cues mean my audience can't tell I've shifted into fertilizer distribution mode. And I can't lie in my art. I have a deep faith in green things the beauty of the world, and the power of life.
Came into art through illustration and comics. Tried to leave through the commercial art door, which should be enough to kill any artist's spirit, but only succeeded in making me distrust advertising even more.

Oh, ok, the standards: Ukiyo-e, Scott Mcloud, John Neill, original Elfquest (trying to be honest in text, here...) Original Star Trek, Miyazaki, especially Whisper of the Heart, and Carla Speed McNeil's Finder.
- Favourite Fantasy Authors:
- Terry Pratchett, Michael Ende,Ursula LeGuin, Jeff Smith, Marly Youmans, the Druiit construction, and of course L.Frank Baum. Forget Tolkien; my fantasy world of choice lies across the shifting sands.
- Favourite Fantasy Artists:
- Brian Froud (like everyone else, I'm sure), Arthur Rackham, Linda Medley, John Neill (illustrated the Oz books, look him up) Tenniel,

- I love them! It's great working on something I know has a good home waiting for it.

Anyway, a few weeks ago I dug up an old Elfquest RPG and was thinking how I could use it- funny to see you mention it. I love Wendy Pini's work. And I am a huge fan of Miyazaki as well, got me kids well and hooked. I have a necklace inspired by Howl's. Funny too, I was humming a tune from that Suzanne Vega cd last week, and I saw your little leaf pendant Small Blue Thing. We must be on the same wavelength.
