About Me:
Hello I'm Paula Johnson. I was born a dreamer in a small town that lies in the midst of the Ozark Mountains. Today my home is not far from my birthplace, still close to nature in those mountains where the faerie folk dwell. Having no formal art training; but creating, sewing, painting, quilting, and such all of my life. I started designing cloth dolls in 1998 and haven’t looked back since. I have tried other mediums in my dollmaking but always come back to the versatility and warmth of cloth. Perhaps it comes from my time of quilting and rag doll making or making tiny baby things for my three children, but fabric is my favorite medium. I am currently creating tiny faeries, mermaids, elves, gnomes and tiny faerie bears and bunnies. I am also starting to design favorite characters from nursery rhymes such as Humpty Dumpty.
