World of Froud - Artist of the Month

Volunteering

Two weeks ago I had the most fun helping the local library with a project for their children's room. I painted a 20ft mural that was part of a float for a parade. The children's room was trying to raise awareness about their services particularly their storytime. It felt really great being a part of it! Writing and art

A few weeks ago I partipated in a contest that the Diamonds and Toads blogspot was offering. The challenge: to rewrite the classic fairytale 'Sleeping Beauty'. I spent a couple of weeks toiling over the story. I was nervous and unsure of myself. It had been a while since I'd written anything. New Dolls

We started selling on etsy about two months ago, and so far had not sold a single mermaid. Judy was getting really upset, since those are her special babies. A couple of days ago, she got up and announced that since nobody wanted them, she wasn't going to make anymore. A Belated Hello

We actually joined Faeetsy a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't stumble across this part of it until yesterday. I've just been so focussed on sewing and on the etsy shop that I haven't spent much time looking around. Guess it pays to get the flu and spend the whole day playing on the computer.
